The Souk Ouseburn brings two days of fashion, music and colour to Newcastle this May
A brand-new event next month is set to bring the colour and buzz of a vintage-flavoured market to one of Newcastle’s trendiest locations.
The Souk Ouseburn will merge a daytime market vibe with entertainment to create a unique event when it takes place at Hoults Yard’s Warehouse 34 on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2014.
Beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, the market will feature a wide array of exciting brands showing off their amazing products – anything from vintage clothing to crafts, jewellery, independent clothing, art, comics, entertainment, activities and records.
Fast forward to Saturday night and the event will evolve in to one of Newcastle’s most exciting venues, with bars and entertainment to see you through the evening until 10pm.
Sunday will then bring it all back down to earth with a second market day from 11-5, dedicated to curing those Sunday blues with amazing food and a further dose of unique, specialist brands and businesses showcasing their wares.
Entry to the event will cost just £2, to encourage as many people as possible to come along.
The brainchild of Ouseburn-based marketing and events company Independent Events, The Souk Ouseburn aims to put a new spin on the current popular wave of vintage markets, and to celebrate and showcase the North East’s independent traders and creatives.
