New value fashion chain Pep&Co coming to a high street near you!
While we love sharing online fashion finds with you, it’s certainly the case that some of our favourite value clothing stores – like M&Co, Select and Peacocks – are those that we can pop into on the local high street too (if only to collect what we’ve ordered via our iPad!)
So, we were excited to hear about a brand new fashion and homewares chain, called Pep&Co, that intends to open 50 UK stores this summer. And, unlike lots of retail launches, you don’t even have to head to London to see what the fuss is all about – the first store opens in a shopping centre in Kettering on 1 July, with plenty more appearing across England, Wales and Scotland at the impressive rate of one a day.
The team behind Pep&Co – which includes ex-Asda boss Andy Bond – promise that “Pep&Co will be the first true town centre fashion value store, offering amazing value fashion and home on the high street, and playing a role in bringing life back to our town centres.” So, imagine a compact Tesco Express-sized store in your local shopping centre – selling women’s fashion, childrenswear, soft furnishings and small homewares – rather than a vast Primark-style edifice that needs you to take a deep breath before stepping through the door.
We’re excited that Pep&Co have invited us to check out the very first store in Kettering a few days before it opens to the public, so we’re looking forward to seeing what they’ve done with the space and – most importantly – what the clothes are like.
As long as they let us take some pictures, expect us to report back before June’s out!
