So, which of our zesty, fruity readers has won our Liberty perfume competition?

Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien Eau de Parfum at Liberty
Once again, you’ve done us proud with your enthusiasm for our competitions – this time, our Liberty perfume giveaway generated over 250 entries across our website, Twitter and Facebook, and we had a tough job choosing our favourite entry from all your excellent submissions.
As you’ll recall, we asked you to complete the tiebreaker “This perfume from Liberty perfectly matches my personality because…”, and, clearly inspired by the citrus notes of Annick Goutal’s Eau d’Hadrien Eau de Parfum, you showed yourself to be a zesty and fruity lot!
From Kerry Ann Stanley’s “It can appear very sweet but can have sharp undertones”, to Karen Painter’s “This @LibertyLondon perfume matches my personality because it’s light, zingy and full of fun!”, there was certainly no shortage of cheeky citrusness, which we loved!
In the end, we whittled it down to three absolute favourites, from which we could only choose one winner – and laboured for quite a while trying to decide which one to pick.
Sarah Forrester’s sweet and effective “This perfume from Liberty perfectly matches my personality because… like me, it’s sharp, fresh… and beautifully packaged!” made us smile, while Kate Deakin gave us a laugh-out-loud moment with her superbly droll “This perfume from Liberty perfectly matches my personality because I too am inspired by a Tuscany landscape – undulating curves and a fair bit of wine!”
In the end, though, it was Avs who appealed to our poetic side with her brilliant homage to the perfume, beautifully written entirely in verse:
This perfume from Liberty perfectly matches my personality because…
I’m fruity at times, intriguing, beguiling
My friends compliment on my penchant for styling
I’ve zest in profusion, I’m fervent, warmhearted
And as for opinions, now don’t get me started
I like to make statements, stand out from the crowd
But subtly, gracefully, never too loud.
