Boohoo.com and Style for Stroke make a stand against stroke – but which celebrity slogan t-shirt will you choose?
We always appreciate it when the fashion world helps to promote a good cause, and Boohoo.com and Style for Stroke have just teamed up to make a stand against stroke – one of the most important causes of all.
The statistics are sobering: stroke occurs 152,000 times a year in the UK, and one in four strokes are fatal within a year, making stroke the fourth single largest cause of death in the UK. Of the 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK, half are left with some form of disability, with many requiring care from family and friends.
Despite this, per-patient medical research funding for stroke is just a fifth of that invested in (the equally important) cancer research. So, anything that helps to raise money and awareness for the Stroke Association – the leading UK charity championing the cause of stroke and stroke survivors – has got to be welcome.
This year’s Boohoo.com and Style for Stroke collaboration has created an exclusive collection of limited-edition, celebrity-designed slogan t-shirts – based around the theme of #famouslastwords – with £5 from each sale going to the Stroke Association.
By making a purchase, you can raise awareness for the charity alongside your favourite celebrities, including fashion and beauty vlogger Zoella, style influencer Niomi Smart, and Leon and John from YouTube personal trainers the Lean Machines.
Here’s the full range of slogans you can choose from:
- ‘You only get one shot…’ – Leon, Lean Machines
- ‘Be the best version of you’ – Zoella
- ‘Wearing Heels Is a Workout” – Niomi Smart
- ‘Like Follow Tweet Tweet’ – Tallia Storm
- ‘Love the life you live’ – Ash Stymest
- ‘Fear stops more dreams that failing ever will’ – John, Lean Machines
The only question is which celeb’s famous last words you’ll wear to show that you care – but whichever you choose, you can be proud that you’re helping to make a stand against stroke, and ensuring that the Stroke Association can continue all its valuable work.
Thanks guys!
